Client Rationale
This is a strengthening exercise for your triceps muscle. This is a muscle that allows you to straighten the elbow. The triceps muscle is mostly a prime mover which means it lifts heavier weight - it is a mover not a thinker. Typically you will use a weight with this exercise.
Instructions
- Lie on your back with you elbow bent at 90 degrees.
- Keeping upper arm stable, straighten the elbow.
- Return in a slow and controlled manner.
- Do not hyperextend your elbow, or lock your elbow.
