Active Assisted ROM for an acutely painful shoulder, most often due to surgery, post traumatic dislocation, or conservative management of a massive rotator cuff tear.

Client Rationale
This exercise is to help you get your shoulder range of motion back without using the muscles that are painful, healing, or both.



Instructions
  • Sit upright.
  • Slide forearm sideways along table as you bend from waist.
  • Feel a gentle stretch in the shoulder.
  • Do not move quickly.
  • You should not feel any sharp pain.
