Standing Quad Stretch



Professional Rationale
This is good quadriceps stretch for those that have decent quad length to start with. It can be a difficult position for the older population. Use a towel or sheet if needed to assist in the stretch.

Client Rationale
This is an exercise used the stretch your quadriceps, or the muscle that runs along the front of your thigh.



Instructions
  • Hold on for balance if needed.
  • Grasp ankle, bending knee up, creating a stretch in your thigh.
  • Keep you knee pointed towards the floor.
  • Do not lean backwards.
  • Do not lean forward.
  • Do not bounce into the stretch.
