Shoulder Flexion Isometric
Isometrics are useful for patients who need strengthening but have painful or weak active range of motion. It is an excellent exercise to activate inhibited or recently repaired muscles.
This exercise is an isometric exercise which means you are using (activating) the muscle without moving the limb. If you have trouble moving your arm against gravity or the muscle has been repaired you may start your strengthening program with isometrics.
