Client Rationale
This is a relaxation and traction position for the low back. This position puts the low back in the position of least load on the discs and the joints. Pushing on your thighs allows further distraction between the discs and the joints.

Instructions
  • Lying on your back on the floor with a pillow under your head.
  • Support your legs on a chair with hips and knees at right angles.
  • Push gently with one or both thighs down towards the chair. Breathe out while pushing.
