Reverse Curl

Professional Rationale
Well known prime mover exercise to strengthen the biceps and brachialis.

Client Rationale
This is a strengthening exercise for your biceps and brachialis muscle. These muscles allow you to bend at the elbow. This exercise favours the Brachialis, which bends the elbow when the palm is facing down. The biceps and brachialis muscles are prime movers which means they lift heavier weight - it is a mover not a thinker. Typically you will use a weight with this exercise.

Instructions
  • Start with arm straight and by your side with palm facing down.
  • Bend up at elbow, contracting the biceps muscle.
  • Return in a slow and controlled manner.
  • Keep abs tight.
  • Do not pull the arm up ballsitically.
  • Move only at the elbow, do not move your shoulder.
