Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch

Professional Rationale
A basic hip flexor stretch that works well when the patient is able to get on the floor and kneel.

Client Rationale
This is a hip flexor stretch. The hip flexors are a group of muscles that help bend your hip up toward your stomach. When they are tight they create muscles imbalances throughout the legs, pelvis, and low back, increasing the load and stress on the joints.

Instructions
  • Kneel on one knee.
  • Keep body upright.
  • Lean forward at the hips creating a stretch in the front of your hip.
  • Do not bend forward at the waist.
  • Do not arch your back.
