A great way to release the plantar fascia and work at scar tissue while using cold therapy. If it is simply the myofascial release that you want then just use an empty jar, versus a frozen one.
Client Rationale
This exercise helps to massage the connective tissue of the plantar fascia while decreasing the inflammation with cold therapy.
Instructions
- Freeze water in a jar (leave the lid off).
- Replace the lid for the exercise.
- Roll the bottom of your foot back and forth on the jar.
- Complete until the bottom of your foot is numb to the touch.
- Do not do for longer than 7-10 minutes as you risk frost bite.
