This is based on the NAGS and SNAGS theory of cervical joint mobilization. It is a nice adjunct to in clinic mobilization of positional dysfunction.

Client Rationale
An exercise to help to gain range of motion at a particular segment. In addition, it helps to give nutrition and lubrication to the joint surfaces.



Instructions
  • Pull the towel down and forward on your neck. Keeping the tension, turn your head rhythmically from right to left letting your eyes follow the movement.
  • Sit in a chair with a towel around your neck at the position indicated by your therapist.
  • Do not turn the head aggressively.
