A gentle mobilization technique neuromuscular reeducation exercise for the cervical stabilizers in the event of instability and/or positional dysfunction.
Client Rationale
This is an isometric exercise (where the muscle is working, but no motion is occurring) that helps to regain motion and stability at segment of your neck where a problem has been identified.
Instructions
- Put your hand on the side of your neck, with your finger on the problem vertebra.
- Pull gently forward with your finger and offer resistance with your muscles.
- Do not push too hard in either direction.
