AROM Ankle Inversion



Professional Rationale
Baseline strengthening exercise that can be used in the early stages of rehabilitation to help to clear edema and engage the muscles groups. It also helps to engage the tib posterior however this is much better accomplished when inversion is completed in sitting or weightbearing.

Client Rationale
This is an exercise to help you strengthen the muscles on the inside of your calf (tibialis posterior, tibialis anterior). It also helps to gain inversion range of motion in your ankle.



Instructions
  • Bring foot inwards.
  • Return slowly.
  • Do not move your knee or your hip.
