A good exercise for those with restricted ankle ROM from chronic injury or post-immobilization. Most beneficial when coupled with joint mobilization.

This is an exercise to stretch joint motion rather than to stretch a particular muscle.



Instructions
  • Hook top of foot onto a chair or a table.
  • Bend at the opposite knee to feel a stretch in the front of the ankle.
  • Do not lean backwards.
  • Do not lean forward.
  • Do not bounce into the stretch.
