This is a range of motion exercise that works well for patients that have less than 90 degrees of flexion. It is an exercise used for any patient who lacks flexion from acute injury, knee surgery, especially total knee arthroplasties.

Client Rationale
This exercise is to help you increase the bending range of motion of your knee, using your opposite leg.



Instructions
  • Cross you unaffected ankle over your affected side.
  • Keep your hip down.
  • Push your affected leg back, bending at the knee.
  • Do not let your buttock come off the chair.
