Active Assisted ROM for an acutely painful shoulder, most often due to surgery, post traumatic dislocation, or conservative management of a massive rotator cuff tear.

Client Rationale
This exercise is to help you get your shoulder range of motion back without having to use the muscles that are either painful, healing, or both.



Instructions
  • Clasp hands together.
  • Keep your affected arm relaxed.
  • Bring your affected arm up, then back overhead, using your opposite arm.
  • Do not lift your affected arm on its own
